How to create a witch for Halloween

As we look forward to Halloween, Tomorrow invited talented local makeup artist Tanzey Stent to create the ideal look for your child’s spooky party this year.

Self-taught Tanzey Stent is only 15 and his work is nothing short of unique, radiating true passion and creativity. He started exploring make-up art two years ago, after discovering a talent for drawing and painting at school, initially taking inspiration from YouTube videos.

Tanzey finds make-up art a way of expressing himself and mainly uses Plouise’s waterproof paints to achieve incredible and colourful looks.

WITCH LOOK FOR HALLOWEEN!

1 – First, apply a blue or green base all over the face and set with translucent powder. You can even use talcum powder if you don’t have translucent powder.

2 – Once the face is covered use dark green around the hairline, cheek bones and nose. This creates depth to the look. Use the light green along the cheekbones to highlight the area.

3 – Use the same dark green in the crease and outer corner of the eye. Blending it out with the light green.

4 – Add black to the outer corner of the eye for a more dramatic look. Pat on shimmer or glitter to the eyelid.

5 – Add purple underneath the eye and blend it out into the black. Fill in the eyebrows with a black eyeshadow or pencil.

6 – Create beauty marks with a black eyeliner or face paint. Apply black mascara.

7 – Paint the lips bright red. For an even more dramatic look add more purple and smudge a bit of black face paint on the outer corner of the eye blending it in with the purple.

8 – Add on any accessories, wigs or costumes to complete the look.
