Solemn ceremony, cultural events, and religious traditions marked the annual celebration of the town and its patron saint.
Lagos Municipal Council marked Municipal Day and the Feast of São Gonçalo on October 27 with a vibrant commemorative program celebrating local heritage, culture, and community spirit across the municipality.
The highlight of the celebrations took place at Praça Gil Eanes during the official flag-raising ceremony and solemn session. Municipal Assembly President Paula Couto echoed the sentiment, emphasizing civic engagement, solidarity, and the vital role of younger generations.

Religious observances included a solemn mass at Santa Maria Church and the traditional procession through the historic center.
