Bootcamp invites the region´s young people to lead positive changes in the Algarve.
On July 8 and 9, Teia D’Impulsos, with the support of the Portimão City Council, organised the Young Entrepreneurs Bootcamp, an event that brought together 23 young people aged between 15 and 25 with the aim of empowering them to address complex issues in our society and develop innovative and impactful solutions.
An Inspiring Event with Relevant Themes
The Bootcamp saw young participants showing great enthusiasm and commitment to tackling challenges such as financial illiteracy, xenophobia, regional mobility, disease explanation and prevention, and discrimination. The diversity of projects presented demonstrated the creativity and human potential to transform the Algarve and build a better future for all.
Dynamic Learning and Practical Experience
The Bootcamp provided young people with dynamic and engaging learning through various activities, including teamwork, presentations, and mentoring by trainers and experts from different fields. The final presentation of projects to the jury was a crucial moment for the participants, allowing them to put their acquired knowledge into practice and receive constructive feedback.
With guidance from a jury comprised of the Councilor for Social Action, Culture, Sports, and Youth, Teresa Mendes, psychologist and professor managing the Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer Division at the University of Algarve (CRIA), Susana Imaginário, businessman and member of the board of Teia D’Impulsos, Roberto Vieira, and Professor and Keynote Speaker Américo Mateus, the young people presented innovative and impactful projects.
Positive Evaluation and Suggestions for More and Better
95% of participants rated the Bootcamp as “very good” or “good” in all aspects, from overall organisation to the quality of content and trainers. Suggestions to improve future editions included creating groups with less age difference and reducing the time of some sessions.
Commitment to the Future
Teia D’Impulsos and the Portimão City Council are very pleased with the success of the Young Entrepreneurs Bootcamp and believe that such initiatives are essential for the region’s development. The organisations thank all participants, trainers, mentors, and especially the jury for their presence and support in Portimão at the headquarters of Teia D’Impulsos.
The Young Entrepreneurs Bootcamp was an important step in Teia D’Impulsos’ mission to empower young people and prepare them for a promising future. The organization is committed to continuing to organize events of this kind and support young entrepreneurs in the Algarve.
