Lagos will host the 6th Convention of the Travel Market Agency Network this weekend.
The benchmark event in the tourism sector takes place from 7 to 9 February at the Vila Galé Lagos Hotel. Under the motto ‘Connecting dreams, creating memories’, the convention brings together more than a hundred travel agents, strategic partners, tour operators and specialists in the field at a crucial moment for sharing knowledge, presenting new trends and strengthening partnerships.
Held annually, the Travel Market Convention has consolidated its position as one of the most important events for the network’s agencies and their partners, providing constant updates on the sector’s challenges and opportunities. The choice of Lagos as the venue for the event highlights the growing relevance of the Algarve as a tourist destination of excellence, not only for leisure but also for business tourism and corporate events.
During the three-day programme, participants can attend lectures and panel discussions with industry experts, covering topics such as investment strategies, digital innovation in tourism, financial management and neuromarketing, and exploring new approaches to personalising the traveller experience.
On 7 February, activities will focus on agency managers, with specialised management, technology and communication training, enabling professionals to train for an increasingly dynamic market.
On 8 February, the event will be attended by the main partners and tour operators, who will present new products and services and debate emerging trends in global tourism. There will also be an interactive workshop where travel agents can strengthen relations with suppliers and discuss solutions for the new demands of the modern consumer. The convention will close with a review of activities and the presentation of future strategies aimed at expanding the network and continuously improving the services provided to clients.
Holding this event in Lagos reflects not only the region’s tourism potential but also the municipality’s ability to host large-scale meetings. Lagos has long been a destination of choice for domestic and foreign tourists, offering a unique combination of historical heritage, vibrant culture, stunning natural landscapes, and a diverse tourist offering.
In addition to the convention’s official programme, participants will also have the opportunity to explore the city, experience the nautical and gastronomy segments as part of the Algarve Golden Terroir Project, and get to know some of the region’s iconic tourist attractions, reinforcing Lagos’ image as one of Portugal’s most attractive destinations.
The 6th Travel Market Convention promises to be a landmark event for the sector, providing a platform for networking and essential knowledge, allowing agents and partners to grow in an increasingly competitive market.
