“The Promise” is the theme of the new promotional film for Vila do Bispo

This film focuses on summer in a municipality that stands out in the Algarve’s beach season. Unlike other destinations, it opts for a tourism approach that values moderation over mass tourism. Consequently, it prioritizes the experience of the region through its natural qualities, local people, and traditions.

The script’s primary goal was to capture and convey the essence of the Vila do Bispo summer spirit in a unique way. To achieve this, it employed a conceptual language that not only maintains continuity with the previous videos made in the spring and autumn but also introduces a fresh perspective. This time, the inspiration centred around the natural element of “water.” Consequently, this element sets the pace and provides consistency to the concept.

The main character, a woman aged between 25 and 30, represents the lifestyle of Vila do Bispo with a light and peaceful spirit. Meanwhile, the secondary characters — a group of three or four young people who, from time to time, enjoy outdoor activities together — further emphasize the relaxed lifestyle that is deeply connected to nature.

The film is specifically targeted at individuals and families, both Portuguese and international, who are seeking a fresh holiday destination. By doing so, the local government effectively strengthens its strategy of promoting the municipality as a prime destination for escape and well-being.
