New promotional film for Vila do Bispo

‘The Wait’ is a new promotional film for Vila do Bispo.

A Espera is Vila do Bispo’s promotional video for the current winter season, which was presented on 17 January in the auditorium of the Vila do Bispo Museum – Celeiro da História, as part of the Municipality Day celebrations.

A Espera closes the set of four films about the municipality in the four seasons of the year. The other films were A Grande Conspiração (The Great Conspiracy), about spring; A Promessa (The Promise), about summer; and A Metamorfose (The Metamorphosis), about autumn.

With a similar concept to the previous videos, ‘A Espera’ tells the story of a writer who prepares for a harsh, cold and sad winter, ‘like someone who stands guard at a lighthouse looking out for a boat adrift on a troubled night’, but ends up accepting that, in Vila do Bispo, winter is mild and restrained to the point of going unnoticed.

The natural heritage of this municipality, located in the far south-west of Portugal and Europe, and the transformations that its landscapes undergo in the different seasons of the year, providing strong human experiences of connection with nature, are the conceptual basis of these films aimed at Portuguese and foreign individuals and families looking for a new holiday destination.

With this communication, the municipality of Vila do Bispo is reinforcing its strategy of promoting the municipality as a destination for escape and well-being and is betting on a tourist positioning that advocates moderation rather than mass tourism.
