The 2nd phase of the lottery for the allocation of affordable Housing in Vale de Lagar has just been announced.
Applications for the new homes are open until 7 February. The Municipality of Portimão is currently conducting the second phase of applications to allocate the new one, two, and three-bedroom homes under construction in the Vale de Lagar area.
This competition phase is open to citizens who have been residents in the municipality of Portimão for at least two years and who can submit their application to purchase the homes.
A total of 181 homes are available, distributed as follows: 68 one-bedroom units, priced between €129,000.00 and €153,500.00; 101 two-bedroom units, priced between €194,000.00 and €230,000.00; and 12 three-bedroom units, priced from €265,000.00.
By current legislation, these prices are exempt from IMT and stamp duty, having been calculated by Ministerial Order no. 65/2019 of 19 February and approved by the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation.
The draw will be made by type, with preference being given to applicants or household members with a disability of 60% or more, and it will be divided into three stages, organised by age group: in the first stage, applicants aged between 18 and 35 will be covered; in the second, applicants aged between 36 and 45; and finally, in the third stage, applicants aged over 46.
Applications must be submitted in person at Portimão City Council’s Housing, Social Development and Health Division or the Municipal One-Stop Shop from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Alternatively, they can be sent by post or registered letter with an acknowledgement of receipt, provided the deadline is met.
