Vote for two projects by March 31
The Faro City Council is implementing the fifth edition of its Participatory Budget (PB). In total, the municipality will allocate €240,000 and an additional €10,000 for the PB Faro-Schools initiative, which is being developed in schools across the municipality for students in the 3rd cycle and secondary education.
After the proposal submission period, which included 12 participatory meetings (in-person) and online submissions via the Participatory Budget Portal, the technical committee analyzed 34 received proposals. From these, 16 projects met the criteria and are now eligible for voting. The voting period is open from March 1 to March 31.
All citizens aged 18 or older who live, work, or study in Faro can now vote for two out of the 16 projects available on the Participatory Budget portal ( http://op.cm-faro.pt/ ).
The winning projects will be those with the most votes until the allocated budget is exhausted. Additionally, each parish or union of parishes will have at least one winning project.
