The Municipal Council of Vila do Bispo and the Parish Council of Vila do Bispo and Raposeira signed a financial and logistical support protocol on 19 October, allocating €61,634.80 to strengthen local public services and boost economic and social development.
The agreement was signed by Municipal Council President Paula Freitas and Parish Council President Marisa Dias.
Key Details of the Protocol:
- Funding & Central Budget Relief: The €61,634.80 financial injection is designed to reinforce parish responsibilities and help offset budget shortfalls resulting from insufficient central government funding transfers.
- Employment & Social Integration: The protocol funds support for up to four job seekers under Institute for Employment and Professional Training (IEFP) contracts, covering insurance, meal, and transportation allowances to promote social and professional reintegration.
- Logistical & Event Support: The municipality will also provide logistical assistance for parish-led events and community activities to invigorate local civic life.
