A Night of Illusion and Solidarity at the Museum of Portimão
On Saturday, 22 November, the auditorium of the Museum of Portimão will transform into a stage of wonder and generosity as four renowned magicians come together for the first edition of Magia com Impacto (Magic with Impact), a solidarity festival blending spellbinding performances with the magic of raising money for a good cause.
The show features four leading names in Portuguese magic – Alex Darcy, Tiago Silva, Nuno Miguel Neto and Champion of Magic David Sousa – each bringing their unique style to an evening where every trick carries a deeper meaning. The event is a fundraiser for APEXA (Associação de Apoio à Pessoa Excepcional do Algarve), supporting its ongoing work with people with disabilities across the region.
“We want this festival to go beyond entertainment,” said APEXA’s leadership. “Each trick, each moment, is also a gesture of solidarity and commitment to the community. The magic happens on stage, but the impact extends far beyond it.”
The initiative reflects a growing movement in the Algarve to pair cultural programming with social responsibility. By spotlighting the world of magic – an art form that thrives on surprise and delight – Magic with Impact invites audiences to experience joy while contributing to a cause that touches many lives.
Although the show is entirely in Portuguese, the magicians reassure audiences that the diverse world of magic transcends language barriers, relying on visual storytelling and universal wonder.
Tickets are priced at €10 and are available online via the BOL.pt ticket vendor or at the Museum of Portimão. All proceeds go to APEXA’s social projects.
