The Municipality of Faro Strengthens International Promotion at B-Travel 2025 in Barcelona
For the second consecutive year, the Municipality of Faro will participate in the International B-Travel Fair, taking place from 28th to 30th March 2025, at the Palau de Congressos in Barcelona, Spain. Faro’s participation will be integrated into the stand of the Algarve Regional Tourism Authority, featuring a personalised display that reaffirms its commitment to international tourism promotion.
B-Travel is one of Spain’s largest consumer-focused tourism events, attracting a highly engaged audience interested in personalised and distinctive experiences.
With a strong focus on professional networking, this fair is also an ideal platform to forge partnerships and explore new growth opportunities within the tourism sector. Faro’s presence at this international event comes in the wake of the direct flight connection between Barcelona and Faro, operated by Vueling Airlines, with two weekly frequencies from El Prat Airport, Vueling’s main base in Spain.
Following its participation in the BTL (Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market) in Lisbon and FLY – Feira das Viagens in Porto, the Municipality continues its international promotion strategy, focusing on major events that attract new audiences and potential visitors.
The significance of the Spanish market for Faro’s tourism is clear, with nearly 200,000 passengers arriving annually from Spain at Faro Airport. Through its participation in B-Travel 2025, the Municipality of Faro aims to strengthen its presence in key international markets, further solidifying its position as a premier destination in the national and international tourism landscape.
