Vila do Bispo Has Emergency Hotline Available
Vila do Bispo now has a dedicated telephone line for emergency situations related to the services of the Municipal Council and the Strategic Civil Protection Network. The new line has been operational since May 27.
This service, created to speed up the response to urgent situations, is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, through the phone number 800 20 16 16 (cost of a call to the national landline network).
Examples of covered incidents include water/sewage/storm-water pipe breaks, the collapse of temporary structures, malfunctioning public infrastructure, abandoned/sick animals, wild animals, support for people experiencing homelessness or social vulnerability, environmental emergencies, and other situations not related to medical emergencies or road accidents.
The call center is based in the Municipal Emergency Operations and Management Room, located at the Vila do Bispo Volunteer Fire Station, and is managed by AHBVVB, which provides the space and necessary human resources for the service.
This service will be responsible for forwarding the situation to the Municipal Council services and/or local entities responsible for resolving or responding to the identified issue.
