Lagos Reveals Lineup of Artists for 2025 Events
Following the success of the 12th Discoveries Festival earlier in May, the municipality of Lagos is unveiling the artists set to headline its flagship events for 2025. This year’s main acts include Maninho, Os Quatro e Meia, Bárbara Tinoco, Ivandro, and Sara Correia at the 36th Arte Doce Contest Fair; Rebeca at the Banho 29 Festival; and Pedro Abrunhosa at the 2025–2026 New Year’s Eve celebration.
Now in its 36th edition, the Arte Doce Contest Fair will run from July 23 to 27 at the Lagos Sports Complex. Once again, the event will blend a celebration of the region’s rich culinary heritage with the vibrant energy of summer nights. The fair will feature traditional sweets, crafts, food stalls, cooking demonstrations, and performances by local and regional artists, along with the 2025 headliners: Maninho (July 23), Os Quatro e Meia (July 24), Bárbara Tinoco (July 25), Ivandro (July 26), and Sara Correia (July 27).
The cherished tradition of the year’s most symbolic and purifying swim is alive and well in Lagos, and once again calls for a festive gathering. Banho 29 (August 29) will take place simultaneously at Lagos city (Cais da Solaria/Jardim da Constituição)—where Rebeca is set to get everyone dancing—and in Praia da Luz, where music will be spread across three stages (program to be announced).
The year will conclude in grand fashion with Pedro Abrunhosa, one of Portugal’s most celebrated musicians, ringing in the new year with a memorable performance followed by a dazzling midnight fireworks display.
Throughout 2025, Lagos will also host a range of other cultural highlights, including the Marchas Populares (June 19–21), Lagos Book Fair (August 2–12), FETAAL – Algarve Traditions and Arts Fair (August), Noites no Cais (September), Walk & Art Fest (November), Pedra Dura Festival (November), Christmas celebrations (December), and many more events throughout the year.
