Student Drawing Exhibition

The Emc2 project – ‘Exploring white crowberry coastal habitats’– is an educational project about the white crowberry plant, whose edible white fruits resemble ‘pearls’. This plant is only found in Portugal and Spain, and as its distribution range is declining, it is crucial to raise awareness and promote the conservation of its wild populations.

Within this project, an Exhibition of Drawings by Students from the Almancil School Group’s Elementary School, showcasing drawings of white crowberry plants from the Ancão area, can be visited from September 16th to October 18th, 2025, at the Almancil Municipal Library Campus. Students made these drawings after an educational field trip in May to the coastal area within the Ancão Forest Management Plan (Algarve).
