“O QUE TORNA” Premieres at Lagos Cultural Centre

“O QUE TORNA” is a contemporary dance solo by Susana Vilar arising from research into change as a space for transformation. Set within an increasingly virtual and technological social reality, the performance examines how the physical body transforms through a liquid metamorphosis into a machine body without questioning its direction.

Navigating between the desire for change and the impulse to remain, as well as the inevitability of transformation versus resistance, the piece explores the ruptures that make us different. Through this process of becoming others, individuals discover themselves—finding a space to pause, repair, and begin anew.

The production premieres on 23 October at the Lagos Cultural Centre, with performances scheduled at 10:30 AM and 9:30 PM.
