II IBN AMMAR CHESS CIRCUIT 2025

Sign-ups are officially open for the final two tournaments of the II Ibn Ammar Chess Circuit 2025.

Organized by the Lagoa Chess Club, with the support of the Lagoa City Council and the Algarve Chess Clubs Association (ACXA), the Circuit is aimed at federated players, with results counting toward the international ranking system.

The tournaments will follow the Swiss system, with a time control of 10 minutes per player plus a 5-second increment per move, played across seven rounds.

The Lagoa Chess Club will award trophies to the top three players of each tournament as well as to the overall winners of the Circuit. The general standings are determined by adding the four best results across the six tournaments, with points awarded in descending order (1 point for 1st place, 2 for 2nd, and so on). The Circuit Champion will be the player with the lowest score, provided they have played in at least four events, including the final tournament.
