Born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, Meredith Price Levitt grew up listening to tall tales around the campfire in the Deep South.

Instilled with a passion for stories from a young age, she studied creative writing and French at Vanderbilt University and then pursued a career in journalism. For the last 25 years, she’s been working as a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines like The Jerusalem Post, The Jewish Journal, The Atlanta Jewish Journal, Julep Magazine, Nextbook Magazine and many more. When she’s not writing, Meredith is passionate about learning languages, trying to improve her cooking skills, raising two children, and writing a blog about life.

An expat since 1999, she spent five years in Aix-en-Provence France and then twenty years in Tel Aviv Israel before recently relocating to Lagos, Portugal —just in time for the excitement and uncertainty of a global pandemic. Her unpaid hobby is aerial acrobatics and she dreams of one day opening a retreat center and creating contemporary circus shows in the Algarve.

For now, she’s still writing, attempting to pronounce Portuguese words like “peixe” correctly and stay focused on life’s most important goals: belly laughs, giggles and smiles.
