Hi I’m Annie. A housewife – cook hardly ever, cleaner & general dogs body; mum; teacher extraordinaire (LOL); and for over a year now Tomorrow’s Bookworm.

Tom Henshaw gave me the opportunity to write a book review for Tomorrow and if successful to become part of a monthly feature.

Delighted, I set to work, guided by Sophie, our Editor. Inspired, creative juices flowing, my monthly fix is writing; after much reading, research and often interviewing various fiction writers. It’s kept me sane during lockdown and has been a source of sanctuary and escapism.

Literature and the Arts are my passion as I have spent my life studying, teaching and inspiring others of all ages.

Annerisms are my trademark along with parties and fizz! The little blonde bombshell was my tagline many moons ago. But Blondie/Debbie Harry I am not! She however, was still going strong at the NEC, Birmingham, UK when we saw her three years ago before moving out here to live.

Drawn to the hot Summers, golden sandy beaches and clear, blue Algarvian sea and skies, we decided Lagos was our new adventure in the sun. Our first year here was amazing – filled with new people, culture, language, climate and change. Out of the rat race I could breathe, find space and calma.

Like many, there is a book in me waiting to be read. Will I ever write it remains to be seen? Here, I certainly have the opportunity.
