National Accessibility Day 2025 – Lagos promotes awareness campaign within the local community
The Municipal Council will hold a street event on October 20 to raise community awareness about the importance of accessibility for people with disabilities. The aim of the initiative is to promote a more inclusive, fair, and supportive society.
Organized by the Inclusion Desk, the activity will involve partner organizations and service users, who will engage directly with local shopkeepers and residents, distributing guides on best practices in accessibility—a fundamental right for all people, regardless of their physical condition.
The CVI – Independent Living Center, NECI – Specialized Center for Inclusive Citizenship, CASLAS – Lucinda Anino dos Santos Social Assistance Center, Vicentina – Association for Development, and Associação Salvador are joining the Municipal Council and the Inclusion Desk in this initiative, which marks October 20 in Lagos as National Accessibility Day.
