“InDireita Street Fest” Marks First Anniversary with Fifth Edition

The fifth edition of InDireita Street Fest, set for September 28, will be the perfect occasion to celebrate the first anniversary of this vibrant initiative that brings music, performances, and community spirit to Rua Direita with a program for all ages.

To mark the festival’s one-year milestone, the association Palco das Ondas Invisíveis Studio (P.O.I.S.) will once again close Rua Direita to traffic for an entire day, transforming it into a lively hub of entertainment, connection, and creativity.

As in previous editions, which have consistently drawn large crowds, this iconic street in the heart of Portimão will turn into an open-air stage filled with music, live shows, markets, and gastronomy, all enhanced by the mild autumn weather.

The lineup is packed with highlights, starting with the main stage performances featuring acts such as Electric Gold, Rude Lion, Abanda, and headliner Xico Barata. Throughout the day, street musicians will also pop up along Rua Direita, adding rhythm and energy to every corner of the festival.

True to tradition, P.O.I.S.—the creative force behind InDireita—introduces a fresh element in every edition. While June spotlighted parkour, this September the focus shifts to Acro Yoga, with an open session for those eager to give it a try. As the evening approaches, the crowd can look forward to dazzling acrobatics and fire shows, closing the festival on a high note.

Visitors will also find plenty beyond the stages: local shops will stay open, while a craft market, an organic farmers’ market, and a swap market line the street. Local chefs and food businesses will bring the region’s flavors outdoors, complemented by creative workshops, interactive games, and live art moments.

Launched in 2024, InDireita Street Fest takes place four times a year—on the last Sunday of March, June, September, and December. Now entering its fifth edition, it has already established itself as a staple of Portimão’s historic center, strengthening ties between residents, artists, and local businesses.

Celebrating its first anniversary with the support of the Municipality and Parish of Portimão, InDireita Street Fest kicks off a new chapter—one that promises continued growth and reaffirms Rua Direita as a space of culture, community, and celebration.
