The Lagos Wellness Challenge Route

The route starts in the car park at Check Point #1 Cascade Wellness Resort complex, turns right onto Rua Aparicio da Silva Palma, proceeds northeast along Estrada de Porto de Mós and right at Rua Prof Luis de Albuquerque to Check Point #2 – ABODE Furniture Store. From there the route heads south along Estrada da Ponte da Piedade and at the first opportunity goes east onto the newly constructed scenic boardwalk.

Then passing Check Point #3 Restaurante Camilo before exiting the boardwalk near Farol da Ponte da Piedade, crossing the road to continue the scenic vistas to the Farol and Check Point #4.

From there the route continues west along the clifftop boardwalk and foot paths passing many beautiful coves, beaches and inlets to return to the finish at Check Point #5 Cascade Wellness Resort.

The quickest participants are expected to complete the 5-kilometer in approximately 30 minutes, and most walkers will take about 1 hour. All finishers receive a completion certificate (on-line) and a commemorative medal at the event. LWC Partnership sponsors help the Lagos Charity Challenge by funding the event, and their support is recognized along the route, on the LWC website, and in event publicity materials.

Trophies are awarded in various categories for personal best and team performances. These include the teams, and individuals raising the most sponsorship money, and several other personal best wellness improvement awards.

Importantly, the LWC Event sends 100% of sponsorship contributions raised by participant teams directly to the designated beneficiaries.BOD
